| Links Thank you for visiting my links page. I will add to this page as time goes on. For now, I want to share with you some things that are important to me. I don't normally believe in having links that lead people outside of my website, but these sites are worth it! American Red Cross - Give Blood! The American Red Cross is near and dear to my heart. I donate blood every 2 months and am always on call to be a platelet donor for cancer patients who need bone marrow transplants. The reason why I have decided to do this is because my mom used to be in the same situation as those cancer patients. There was someone out there who was selfless enough to donate so that my mom could have a chance to live another day. My mom lost the fight to leukemia back in 1977. I was just 2 years old when we lost her. The least I can do is give someone else the chance to have another day. I want to encourage all of you to become donors. Snopes.com So frequently I am forwarded hundreds of emails about topics that people believe to be true. Here is a website that is an urban legend/myth-buster. They do a pretty good job of explaining what is true and what is not. So, before you forward on an email about alligators taking over the sewers in New York, visit this website and make sure it is true! |
